Gran Fondo Mallorca 312 – 16th place for our road bike team!

Mallorca, April 26, 2025 – 312 kilometers, 4,700 vertical meters, over 8,000 starters: Mallorca 312 is one of the toughest and most prestigious amateur bike races in Europe – and our Plasmatreat RTS-Electronic team was also at the start.

Starting and finishing in Platja de Muro, the race leads through the imposing Tramuntana mountains, over countless climbs and technical descents, through villages, coastal roads and olive groves – a true monument to endurance sport.

Our team rider and RTS Managing Director Oliver Vakilzadeh took to the start line for our racing bike team with his team colleagues Max Bier, Max Geppert and Martin Waldenberger. Max Bier unfortunately crashed on the descent to Esporles, but was in the leading group until then. Max Geppert rode the 167km distance and finished the race in 30th place, while Martin Waldenberger finished in the top 100 in 99th place. Oliver Vakilzadeh crossed the finish line after 09:10 hours in a great 16th place overall.

“The course is brutal, but simply fantastic. The fact that I made it into the top 20 in a new best time for me is thanks to the team and also to Lars Kiera, who – as in the last two years – accompanied me as a supporter and looked after me perfectly.” Lars Kiera, also Managing Director and co-founder of RTS, was once again at the track this year and took care of everything that was needed before, during and after the race.

Our team is starting the 2025 racing season with this strong performance and we are looking forward to many more sporting highlights.
