Employee development through further training in cooperation with the IHK Nord Westfalen

Both EMS service providers and industrial companies with their own electronics manufacturing (OEMs) face the same challenge in their day-to-day procurement: The production of modern assemblies requires a vast variety of active, passive, and electromechanical components. This often results in a supplier base of several hundred vendors. What may appear at first glance to be risk diversification often turns out in practice to be a major cost driver. Managing countless individual suppliers ties up valuable resources and drives up overall process costs. Targeted supplier consolidation with a strong, vendor-neutral partner is the most effective way to relieve the burden on the procurement department and sustainably reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).

We attach particular importance to the continuous training of our employees. This is particularly evident in our recent collaboration with the IHK Nord Westfalen. For example, four employees successfully completed a comprehensive in-house training course on “Internet Export Declaration Plus (IAA-Plus)”. In addition to efficiency gains for our internal processes, this further training has enabled us to expand our employees’ specialist knowledge in particular.

The participants first learned the basics, including the relevant legal foundations of the automated processing system for export declarations. The focus was then on practical application. This involved both the operation of the portal itself and the correct completion of the online forms. This hands-on approach helped our employees to learn the necessary skills.

We are convinced that our employees and their continuous training form the basis for the success of our company. This investment pays off after just a few days through routine workflows and improved expertise, which benefits both our internal processes and the satisfaction of our customers.
