End-to-End Traceability at RTS—From Receiving to Shipping

Both EMS service providers and industrial companies with their own electronics manufacturing (OEMs) face the same challenge in their day-to-day procurement: The production of modern assemblies requires a vast variety of active, passive, and electromechanical components. This often results in a supplier base of several hundred vendors. What may appear at first glance to be risk diversification often turns out in practice to be a major cost driver. Managing countless individual suppliers ties up valuable resources and drives up overall process costs. Targeted supplier consolidation with a strong, vendor-neutral partner is the most effective way to relieve the burden on the procurement department and sustainably reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).

On July 22, 2026, the trade magazine EPP – Elektronik Produktion & Prüftechnik published a detailed case study on RTS Electronic: “RTS Electronic Enhances Supply Chain Process Reliability with MODI.”

This article traces how we have established an end-to-end digital chain from goods receipt to shipping: Since 2017, we have been using the MODI system in our goods receiving area—upgraded to the latest generation of cameras in early 2025 and fully integrated into our SAGE ERP environment. The next step followed at the end of 2025: As the world’s first user and development partner, we introduced DiVis PackTrace in our shipping department.

Our CEO, Oliver Vakilzadeh, sums up the results in the article: “100 percent traceability, error-free and streamlined processes.” And Torsten Klawunder, CEO of DiVis Trace GmbH, sees the joint project as proof of the long-term value that strategic partnerships and investments in digitalization create.
